Poems of Sudhir Kundi
Few Nirankari Poems written by Sudhir Kundi :
Are we true Nirankaris?
Are we true Nirankari’s is a question we must ask
Do we remember this formless one before we start each task?
Do we look at all with an equal sight
Believe whatever God does he does for the right
Are we humble to all do we love one another
Am I worthy enough to call you my brother?
The simple fact is the answer is no
As a true Nirankari what do I have to show?
If there’s a fight, some gossip I’m always no. 1
The moment something goes wrong it’s ‘God what have you done?’
I’ll ask for forgiveness then commit the same sin
Only feel comfortable with people the same colour as my skin
I move with the fashion, the sunglasses the dhari
I’d rather be with my mates, but I’m still a Nirankari
When I’m in sangat I’m concentrating, I’m focused, I’m one
But the moment I’m outside, I think I’m the Don!
The funny thing is, I know what’s right what’s wrong
Each saint they say it in their speech their song
And yet mind does not remain content
I often wonder where all that knowledge went
Well the knowledge is there it’s just I am blinded
If I remembered him always, I’d be reminded
True Nirankari’s are those who do as he wills
And continue to do so even if it kills
To ignore this worlds materialistic side
Saints are always uniting they never divide
They speak always of him, in their actions they speak
It’s an eternal bliss they always seek
So long as what I hear does not remain inside this hall
I should wrap myself in Nirankar as though he were a shawl
Please bless me next time I see you saints, I’m like you
This is my prayer, my wish
If not a Nirankari by then dear saints, at least Nirankari-ish!
